Dallas Center Courses 2014 WaterSense Labeled Home and Multi-Family Apts Open House Saturday, March 22, 2014 1:00 - 4:00 pm 17360 Coit Road Dallas, TX 75252 In celebration of national “Fix a Leak Week”, the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Dallas, in partnership with the US EPA Region 6, and the City of Dallas Water Utilities welcomes you to the public grand opening of the first WaterSense labeled Multi-Family Aprtments in the Dallas/Ft Worth region and an Open House of the WaterSense Labeled Home. The home and apartments will serve as a working model that demonstrates to visitors just how easy water conservation can be. Both indoors and out, the WaterSense labeled home provides hands-on learning opportunities in areas such as hot water on demand systems, water efficient faucets and fixtures, water efficient landscaping and irrigation systems, rainwater harvesting and rain garden design. According to the US EPA, WaterSense labeled homes saves a family of four 50,000 gallons a year by using 40% less water than the average home. The EPA WaterSense Home is located on the AgriLife campus at 17360 Coit Road in Dallas at the intersection of Coit and McCallum Blvd. Tours of the home, apartments and landscape are being held from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014. The event will also include food vendors and education/information booths. All are welcome to attend at no cost.
