4-H and Youth Development Specialist

Derrick provides leadership to the 4-H & Youth Development Program in District 4. This includes planning, implementation, evaluation, and interpretation of district events. He also serves as a resource to County Extension Agents in the district to provide support with management of their local programs through agent trainings, as well as 4-H related trainings for adult volunteers and youth. Derrick also works on a state-wide basis serving as coordinator of the Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge and the state 4-H robotics program.
He holds a B.S. degree in Agribusiness from Tarleton State University, and an M.S. degree in Wildlife Science from Texas A&M University.
