Biology related to propagation, adaptability, and utility of Texas landscape plants. Primary responsibility is to provide leadership and oversee research projects at Texas A&M Dallas, including horticulture, turfgrass, small grains, forage crops, plant pathology, entomology and soils. Determine techniques for improving germination, emergence, and establishment of Texas bluebonnets. Development of Big Bend bluebonnet into a cut flower crop. Study the physiology of adventitious root formation, organogenesis plant stress tolerance, plant tissue culture, and plant growth regulation.
